Jon Litland

Assistant professor, University of Texas at Austin

Jon Litland is an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin. Before he came to Austin he was a post.doc at the University of Oslo (working with Øystein Linnebo). Before that again he was a ph.d student at Harvard University.

His main areas of research are metaphysics and philosophical logic. In metaphysics he's mainly worked on ground, focusing particularly on the logic of ground. He also has research interests in the metaphysics of modality as well as inferentialism, indefinite extensibility, and vagueness more broadly.
