ConceptLab in final round to become Centre of Excellence

“ConceptLab” has made it to the final round to become a Centre of Excellence (SFF) funded by the Research Council of Norway. The project is led by Herman Cappelen, Øystein Linnebo and Camilla Serck-Hansen. The remaining core-group consists of Eyjólfur Emilsson, Robyn Carston, Peter Fritz, and Rachel Sterken.

The application is supported by IFIKK, CSMN and the Humanities faculty at the University of Oslo. Out of 150 applicants from Norwegian research institutions, 34 are invited to send in a detailed application within two months. The applications are evaluated by an international committee, consisting of renowned experts, and the final decision will be made in December 2016.

For five years, 9 to 12 new centres will receive funding of NOK 8–13 million per year, with a possible extension of an additional five years following a midterm evaluation.
