Compulsory tuition activities

We are keen for our students to receive close follow-up during their studies. One important aspect of such follow-up is that we stipulate requirements relating to your participation in tuition in the form of various different activities. For many courses at HF, these requirements are a condition for being allowed to take the examination.

What activities?

The requirements necessary for sitting an examination may be:

  • Submission of assignments
  • Compulsory attendance at seminars
  • Commenting on the work of other students
  • Oral presentations

These are just a few examples of the various different requirements that may be stipulated. You yourself are responsible for ensuring that you keep up to date about whatever requirements apply to the different courses that you take. This information is available online under the course descriptions.

What are the consequences of failing to comply with our demands?

The consequences of failing to undertake tuition activities are that you will not be allowed to sit the examination.

What if you are ill?

In the event of illness, the same rules that apply to non-attendance at an examination shall apply. Briefly speaking, this means that you must submit documentation showing that your illness has prevented you from participation and handing in material, etc. We will then ensure that are given the opportunity to resume the thread as soon as possible, so that you can sit your examination.

Do you have to undertake all the compulsory activities again if you fail your examination?

Most courses allow you carry over what you have completed during your course to the next two times that the course in question is held. If we ask for anything else, you will find special information about such in the course description.
