Who receives diplomas automatically?

• In your capacity as a Bachelor's student at the HF your diploma will be automatically sent to you after the term in which you achieve your degree for a study programme. All programme students will receive further information about this which will be sent to their e-mail address at the UiO.
• As a Master's student you will receive your diploma after you have submitted your Master's thesis and it has been marked. However, when you submitting your Master's thesis you should remember to fill in a form showing the courses involved in your Master's degree (pdf).

Students who are not following a particular programme at the HF will need to apply for a diploma for a freely combined degree.

Why can I not order a Bachelor's diploma when I want to?

We believe that it goes without saying that your diploma should be sent to you once you have completed your studies without you having to order it. It is also important for us at the Faculty to register that you have obtained a degree in order to comply with the requirements stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Research in respect of reporting the degrees that have been taken each term.

Who can make reservations against receiving diplomas?

You can apply to delay receiving a diploma in order to improve your marks in respect of courses that you have already taken. This reservation entitlement is a trail scheme which will be evaluated as time goes by.

When can I apply to delay receiving a diploma?

You should have received an e-mail from your programme notifying you that you will receive a diploma before you apply for deferment. If you have not received this by 1 May/1 November, you should contact your programme consultant (link to list of programme consultants here).

What is the deadline?

For the autumn term of 2012 applications must be stamped/delivered by 1 February 2013 at the latest.
