Background
I graduated with a M.A. degree in Classical Indology and Religious Studies from Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. The major part of my M.A. thesis was a translation of a mythological text about the Śaivite pilgrimage town Gokarna in Karnataka from Sanskrit to German.

PhD research fellow within the Kanchipuram Research Project.
My doctoral thesis with the working title "rivalry and harmony: negotiating relations in myth and ritual" focusses on the annual temple festival of the Ekāmranātha temple in Kanchipuram.
