Academic Interests

Adivasi and Indigenous studies, South Asian Visual culture, Visual Studies, Visual Anthropology, Festival Cultures of South Asia. 

Teaching

Taught (with Lars Tore Flaaten) the Introductory course to India Studies for undergraduate students. 

Curated and lectured on two film series 'Bollywood: Then and Now' (Spring 2016) and 'Three Tragedies and A Comedy: Shakespeare in India' (Fall 2016)

Designed and taught a course called 'Narratives in Art' at the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata, 2012.
