East Asian Meditative Traditions - Taiwan conference

This international conference took place in Taiwan 29-30 October 2009 as part of the Monsoon Asia and Multiculturalism Project at the Research Center for Social Sciences and Humanities, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. It discussed meditation in East Asian Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism. The language of the conference was Chinese and English, while the resulting volume will be printed in Chinese on Tsing Hua University Press. Participants were invited scholars from Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, Europe and North America.
The conference was arranged in close cooperation with an international conference on Buddhist Meditative Traditions which took place at Dharma Drum Buddhist College, Taiwan, 30-31 October 2009.
