Research projects

The project's primary goal is to study cosmopolitan and (post) national trends in the construction of a cultural self in the poly cultural society of today.

The goal of the project is to collect data on the early communicative development of Norwegian children from 8 to 36 months of age. The collected data will be used to establish norms for early lexical and grammatical development.

SKI is an interdisciplinary project (linguistics, literary studies, culture studies) divided into three research focus areas:

- The negotiation of identity in spoken migrant narrative discourse

- Narratives of integration and identity formation in multicultural literature

- Discourses of cultural diversity, and narratives of identity in museums of cultural history

The main objective of this project is to study the transformation of literary genres in Scandinavia. The translations of French romances into Norse narratives is to be studied from the point of view of Translation Studies, but also in relation to the transformation of indigenous genres supposedly from an oral tradition into literate genres.
