Research topic: Multimodal texts

Multimodal texts are texts that combine several forms of expression, such as writing, photography and music, to create a complete expression of meaning.

Examples can range from comic strips and websites to movies and opera productions.

Research into multimodal texts examines, among other things, how different forms of expression can combine to create meaning in a single text, what can be expressed in different media, and what happens to a text when it is transferred from one medium to another.
