8th International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB8) Oslo 2011

The Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies, University of Oslo hosts the 8th International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB8) from 15 June to 18 June 2011. The call for papers will be launched on this website. We will keep you informed about ISB8 through regular updates on this website.

About ISB:

The first and second editions of the bi-annual International Symposium on Bilingualism were organised in Newcastle upon Tyne (UK) in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and ISB3 took place in Bristol. After 2003, ISB left the UK and in 2003, Arizona State University hosted ISB4. ISB5 was held in Barcelona in 2005, and in 2007, Hamburg hosted ISB6. This year, 2009, ISB7 was held in Utrecht.

The 8th symposium will be hosted by the University of Oslo in 2011, the year that the university celebrates its 200th anniversary. ISB8 is part of the program for a celebration that will last all throughout the year.
