Lanza sitter i Editorial Board for tidsskriftene International Journal of Bilingualism utgitt av Sage,  Bilingualism: Language and Cognition utgitt av Cambridge University Press og Multilingual Margins, University of Western Cape, South Africa, og bokserien IMPACT: Studies in Language and Society utgitt av John Benjamins.

- 18. juni 2011. Konferansen var del av Universitetets 200-års jubileumsfeiring. På ISB8 ble Lanza valgt Chair of the Steering Committee for ISB for en fire-års periode. ISB9 blir holdt i Singapore i 2013.
