The Journal of Media Innovations explores changes in media technologies, media policies, organizational structures, media management, media production, media services, and usages.
The Journal of Media Innovations consists of academic articles, short descriptive analyses of media innovations in the front, and book reviews.
The journal was established in 2013. The inaugural issue was published March 2014.
The Journal of Media Innovations is published by the Centre for Research on Media Innovations and sponsored by the Department of media and communication, University of Oslo.
The journal is open access and published through Fritt (Frie tidskrifter fra UiO), using the Open Journal Systems. Under this system, authors retain copyright of their work. All articles are subject to a double-blind review.
