The concluding conference of the CoMRel project takes place on May 31st, 2018, from 12:30 pm to 4 pm in the House of Literature in Oslo. The conference is aimed at the general public as well as stakeholders and researchers interested in issues on media and religion in societal conflicts.
The Religious Controversies Conference (31.10.-2.11, 2016) is a collaboration between CoMRel and the Sigtuna Foundation. It is the first of a series of seminars organised by the "New Public Outreach Strategies for Research on Religious Controversies" project managed by Mona Abdel-Fadil and funded by the Research Council of Norway. CoMRel collaborates with the two other SAMKUL projects Formatting Religion and Muslim Politics in this regard.
CoMRel takes part in the international conference on Media, Religion and Publics in Seoul, South Korea.
ComRel researchers gather at the University of Agder's study centre Metochi, Lesbos, to discuss findings from the various case studies in the project.
"Governing religion: Interfaith dialogue and organized cultural encounters" is the full title of the CoMRel seminar arranged by postdoc Louise Lund Liebmann at the University of Agder 30 March. CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS.
CoMRel is represented in the conference on New Direction in Mediatization Research.
The second CoMRel project meeting took place at the Soria Moria conference centre above downtown Oslo.
