Research topic: Media history
Media are important parts of our everyday life, and to understand how this came about, we need to know the media history. The Internet was created in the 1960s, television in the 1930s, and film in the 1890s.
Gutenberg printed his first Bible in 1455, while man has been writing for five thousand years. Media historians study how institutions like the broadcasters and newpapers have developed, how their offerings change over time, and how such changes can be seen as parts of larger changes in society.
