Media use and effects is about media’s influence on society and on individuals' attitudes, perceptions and behaviour. Media can also affect organizations, institutions and societal development more generally.
Studies of media use are a key tool in studying the media impact, because both the degree of use and the type of use have influence on the impact.
Researchers at IMK are particularly concerned with how media affect agenda setting, policy making and opinion formation.
