Popular culture can be defined as culture consumed by broad layers of audience and produced by the media industry.

Popular culture can be expressed in various forms, and we are doing research, among other, on TV series, docu-soaps and other television programs, computer games, music, comics, film, web pages and web-related fenomena, as well as on a wide range of other new and old media products.

Research on popular culture is about understanding the limits within thich the popular culture is created, why it has such an appeal and which role it plays in our everyday life.
