Teaching and Tutoring:

Music production (laptop and studio-oriented), groove based music genres, pop/rock-history, popular music studies and rhythm research. Embodied cognition, music and emotions and related topics linked to how music can cause bodily movement and emotional moods.

 

Research projects:

Moved by the Music: Corporeality and Intense Emotional Experiences in Music Listening. A study of the relationship between musical structures and corporeality in music listening causing intense emotional experiences. A sub project to the YFF-project Music, Motion and Emotion: Theoretical and Psychological Implications of Musical Embodiment, led by professor Hallgjerd Aksnes (completed).

The PoumTchak Pattern: Rhythm, Sound and Movement in Electronic Dance Music.  A Sub project to the YFF-project Rhythm in the Age of Digital Reproduction - micro-rhythmic relationships in computer based, groove oriented music, led by professor Anne Danielsen (completed).
