Birgitte Sandve and Jon Mikkel Broch Ålvik contributes in new publication from Rockheim
Norway's national museum of pop and rock music, Rockheim, is launching a new exhibion and a book release about gender and music. Phd students Sandve and Ålvik contribute.
The exhibition I Wish I Was a Real Boy is open until December 29th 2013.
In a book release that accompanies the exhibition I Wish I Was a Real Boy, about gender in Norwegian rock and pop music, Birgitte Sandve contributes with an esseay on rap and the staging of masculinity and Ålvik with an essay about the music of Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn. The exhibition opens Wednesday May 8th, and both Sandve and Ålvik will be present. Other contributers to the book is Jenny Hval, Charlotte Myrbråten and Synnøve Engevik.
