Ragnhild Brøvig er professor ved Institutt for musikkvitenskap og RITMO senter for tverrfaglig forskning på rytme, tid og bevegelse, ved Universitetet i Oslo. Hun har publisert artikler og bokkapitler om musikkproduksjon, hip-hop og electronisk populærmusikk, remiks- og mashup kultur, sampling og opphavsrett, digitale medier, og rytme/groove og sound. Hun er forfatter av bøkene Parody in the Age of Remix: Mashup Creativity vs. the Takedown (MIT Press, 2023) og Digital Signatures: The Impact of Digitization on Popular Music Sound (med Anne Danielsen, MIT Press, 2016). Hennes forskning har blitt finansiert av Norges forskningsråd og Kulturrådet.
