Guest researcher: Cecelia Cutler

Cecelia Cutler is visiting MultiLing from May 16 to June 14. She is an Associate Professor at City University New York, Lehman College & The Graduate Center, New York City, USA.

During her stay, Cutler will be giving an open guest lecture at MultiLing. Cecelia Cutler is collaborating with Unn Røyneland on the project, Multilingual Youth Practices in Computer-Mediated Communication, which will culminate in a co-edited volume at Cambridge University Press. In collaboration with Røyneland, she will organize a workshop with contributors to the volume at Cambridge University Press (to be hosted at MultiLing June 12–14).

Cutler's guest lecture, “Ets jast ma booooooooooooo”: the emerging social meanings of Scottish accents in contemporary animated children’s films, will take place on June 10, 14:30–16:00.
