Prosjekter ved MultiLing

På MultiLing kommer jeg til å jobbe med prosjektet forvaltning av folk og forvaltning av språk: polyspråklige praksiser på "blåsnipp"-arbeidsplasser. Dette prosjektet fokuserer på de nåværende betingelsene ved nasjonal arbeidskraft, språk og innvandringspolitikk, deres påfølgende underliggende ideologier og fremvoksende sosiolingvistiske praksiser, ved å undersøke hvordan asymmetriske maktforhold vedlikeholdes i og gjennom konteksten til "blåsnipp"-arbeidsplasser blant brasilianske arbeidsinnvandrere og deres norske sjefer i Oslo.

Dette tverrfaglige prosjektet kombinerer teorier om globalisering, mobilitet og flerspråklighet med et mål om å skape nye teoretiske fremskritt innenfor feltene sosiolingvistikk og anvendt lingvistikk, med tanke på hvordan migranters mobilitet og type arbeid påvirker hvordan deres polyspråklige praksises ses på, verdsettes og brukes, for å bedre forstå de språklige og samfunnsmessige konsekvensene av global mobilitet.

Forskningsinteresser

Mine primære forskningsinteresser er det tverrfaglige skjæringspunktet mellom sosiolingvistikk, anvendt lingvistikk, samfunnsgeografi og mobilitetsstudier, mer spesifikt innenfor feltene diskurs, globalisering, migrering, flerspråklighet, utdanning og turismeforskning.
