The EST Young Scholar Prize 2022

The next EST Young Scholar Prize will be presented at the EST Congress in Oslo in June 2022. The prize is awarded for an excellent and significant contribution to Translation and Interpreting Studies, such as a doctoral thesis or equivalent monograph, not necessarily published, by a young scholar.

Don’t forget the deadline for submission for the Young Scholar Prize

Dear young scholars,

An important date is drawing near: 31 January 2022. This is the deadline for PhD submissions to the EST Young Scholar Prize Committee. Like the Oslo congress, the YSP aims to “Advance Translation Studies” and help boost the future of our expanding discipline.

We have been delighted with the submissions that we have received in the past and look forward to reading your work. The YSP aims to highlight new, innovative and methodologically sound research and is open to submissions from all different branches of TIS, including interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary projects and topics that some might think belong to the “periphery” of TIS – if such a periphery exists. This is an opportunity you shouldn’t miss: your work will be assessed by fellow TIS scholars, which is certainly not the case in many other academic contexts, and the YSP will give the award-winning work instant international recognition.
