The Centre for Philosophy and the Sciences is an interdisciplinary meeting place for the interaction between the humanities and the sciences.

Objective

Our objective is to be a platform that provides interdisciplinary teaching resources and opens novel research avenues in order to bridge the gap between the humanities and the sciences.

This platform helps the humanities to integrate natural science perspectives into research and teaching, and it helps the natural sciences to integrate the perspectives of the humanities.

We aim to be a leading centre for successful dialogue between science and society.

Relevant research disciplines

We take new approaches in teaching and research at the intersection of the humanities and sciences. Relevant disciplines:

  • philosophy
  • linguistics
  • psychology
  • biology and the life sciences
  • physics
