Our members are involved in a new convergence environment at UiO:Life Science
Very happy to be working together with the Science Study Colloquium Series, who have been doing a fantastic job since 1979 (!) organizing events around the philosophical, historical, sociological and ethical issues in science.
Should we replace democracy with scientific experts? Or how else should we use science to make policy? Or should science be more inclusive or democratic? Why is there so much opposition to science?
A Doctoral Research Fellowship in Philosophy is now available. This fellowship is directly associated with the Centre for Philosophy and the Sciences. Apply before 31. August 2019.
Karen Crowther starts at UiO in September after completing a postdoctoral position at the University of Geneva. She specialises in the philosophy of physics.
