Teaching and research
Teaching and research in our four research themes are closely intertwined.
Students are encouraged to bring their own interests in the field of screen studies into the courses and assignments and unfold these interests into full-blown academic work under the tutelage of one of our researchers.
We are looking for motivated students with a keen interest in the field. The Master’s programme is suitable for students who are interested in the screen cultures of cinema, television, computer and smartphone screens, their films, series, games, social media, GPS-enabled maps, workout stats, simulations and augmentations.
A required specialization is a minimum of 80 ECTS credits relevant to the field of Screen Cultures such as media studies, media technologies, cinema and/or theatre studies, cultural studies and art history.
