Academic interests
My project will examine the contexts of Viking Age runestones in Norway and Denmark, focusing on the relationship between different mortuary and commemorative practices and the role of the past in the past. It is part of the project 'Using the Past in the Past. Viking Age Scandinavia as a Renaissance?'.
My academic interests include Iron Age archaeology, archaeological theory, research history, technology, continuity and change, and runology.
