Academic interests

My academic interests are business, economical and political history. As a research fellow I am looking into the establishment and development of a battery production company called FREYR Battery. This fits into a larger context of the relationship between business, politics and the green transition.

FREYR Battery is a prominent example of an experimental structural change in the Norwegian economy from large oil dependency to activities that are adapted to a future with low emissions. I am therefore especially interested in examining how the history of FREYR Battery highlights the structural change in the Norwegian economy, as well as the connection between politics, business and the green transition.

I finished my master's degree at the University of Oslo during the spring of 2021, with an exchange semester at Royal Holloway University of London in 2018. As a part of my master's thesis I was a part of the Statoil project where my thesis looked into Statoil's strategy within downstream activities, mainly gas stations.

I have worked with different subjects during my time as a research assistant at BI Norwegian Business School and University of Oslo from June 2021 to February 2022. During that time I assisted with work regarding different topics such as the banking crisis in the 1920s, the history of the Norwegian national election studies, minimum wage law for traders and oil history related to the Statoil project.
