Academic interests
My main interests are history-writing, the cult of saints and identity-construction, and how these three phenomena often intersect. In addition, I research fragments of medieval manuscripts, with a particular focus on Scandinavia. I also work on the reception of medieval history in modern culture.
Primarily, I work on materials from Northern Europe in the period 1000-1300, but when it comes to my main interests I also research materials from earlier as well as later periods.
