The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York organized its annual Symposium on 18 October 2019 on a classic theme: Paris, Capital of Fashion. Creative IPR PI Véronique Pouillard was invited to talk with Dr. Sophie Kurkjian (American University, Paris) on the history of Paris fashion before, during and after WW2. The responsibilities of the creative fashion firms during the German occupation of the Northern French zone, including Paris, constitute an enduring topic of debates among historians. Véronique Pouillard addresses the theme in the chapter 4 of her book, Paris to New York, The Transatlantic Fashion Industry in the Twentieth Century.
