Joey Pollock
Researcher

I am a Researcher in Philosophy at University of Oslo and PI for the project, New Models of Knowledge Communication, funded by the Research Council of Norway. The aim of this project is to problematize traditional approaches to the role of communication in both testimonial knowledge acquisition and peer disagreement, and to develop an alternative approach that rejects appeals to content preservation in social epistemology.
I also work on broader issues concerning the connections between theories of content individuation, on the one hand, and the philosophy of communication and testimony, on the other, and on the role of concepts in conceptual engineering.
