I do research as part of ConceptLab, focusing on theoretical questions about (scientific) concepts. I handle question such as: what are concepts, how do we determine what they mean, and when can we say people have them? How do the answers to those questions change over time? As such, my research takes place on the intersection between the philosophy of science and the philosophy of language.
I defended my thesis, "Concept Attributivism", in May 2019, after writing it from 2016 to 2018. Since January 1st, 2019, I have been teaching and doing research on a grant from the UiO.
My research interests are in the the philosophy of science and the philosophy of mathematics in particular. Other academic interests include mathematical and philosophical logic, foundations of mathematics, philosophy of logic, philosophy of language, and on off days I like to read some virtue ethics.
I have a MSc in Logic at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) of the University of Amsterdam. Before that, I did a bachelor in Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, with a year of mathematics.
