My current research focus is in philosophy of language, particularly on questions regarding semantic truth, realism and their connection to agency. The tradition I am interested in spans from Quine, Davidson, and Rorty to contemporary topics in conceptual engineering. I am especially interested in interpretability, commensurability and incommensurability, and how meaning and action are entrenched.
I hold a PhD from the LMU Munich in German literature and an M.A. from the same university in German literature, philosophy, and ethnology. I am particularly interested in the intersection of literature, philosophy, and cultural theory, especially regarding questions of subjectivity and agency. Currently, I am experienced researcher of the Horizon2020-MSCA-IF-2018 Project RELEVANT REALISM, Grant agreement n° 832636. The project works at the border between philosophy of language and political theory and aims to develop a new concept of realism by forging theories of truth with theories of action.
I was postdoctoral fellow and assistant professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, visiting lecturer at the Inter University Centre in Dubrovnik, and invited visiting fellow at the University of Oslo before. Currently, I am Marie-Skłodowska-Curie-Fellow at the University of Bologna and doing my secondment at the University of Oslo.
