Trial Lectures in Philosophy

Three candidates for the position of Associate Professor in Philosophy will be giving their trial lectures on Monday April 3rd.

09:15-10:00: Peter Fritz, GMH room 152

10:15-11:00: Rachel Sterken, GMH room 152

14:45-15:30: Eric Mandelbaum, GSH room 3514 (via video conference)

Theme for the Trial Lectures

Imagine that you are giving a lecture in the philosophy of language to first-year BA students. Your lecture should present Kripke's arguments in Lectures 1 and 2 of Naming and Necessity and locate these in a systematic and historical context

The trial lecture is open to the general public. We specifically encourage our students to attend.
