Announcement of Scholarships for our Master's Programmes
For the autumn semester of 2016, the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas is offering 10 Master's scholarships in the fields of Philosophy and History of Art.
The scholarships amount to 30 000, - NOK each, 25 000,- of which is granted initially, and the remaining 5000,- if and when the candidate completes the Master's degree within the allotted time.
Priority may be given to those who are writing dissertations in areas where the department has particular research strengths.
Priority may be given to students who are undertaking a dissertation in the History of Philosophy (especially ancient and early modern), Moral Philosophy, areas associated with The Centre for the Study of Mind in Nature, Philosophical Logic and Mathematics, and Conceptual Engineering.
History of Art
Priority may be given to students undertaking a dissertation within the areas of Modernism/Modernity, Media and Technology, Design History, and the Middle Ages.
The deadline for applications is 8 December 2016
Applications should be submitted to the academic supervisor for your programme, along with a copy to the student programme coordinator. It should contain the following:
• Information about which research area you are interested in
• Information verifying that you have submitted your Master's project description in Fronter
The allocation of scholarships will be based on the quality of the submitted project descriptions.
