Ongoing Projects

Siv joined the BROKEX team in January 2021. She is working on the project “Moving up the value chain: Intermediation in industrial upgrading in the Pearl River Delta”, funded by the Research Council of Norway. Her research focuses on changes in the central-local relations in the Chinese political system since 2012 and their implications for the development of the Pearl River Delta in South China. She holds a PhD in Chinese Politics from King’s College London and a MSc in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford. She has spent several years in China both as a student and researcher, as well as a project coordinator for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in South China.
