In September 2010, Janne Bondi Johannessen and Signe Laake from the Text laboratory went back to America to speak Norwegian with Norwegian immigrants. Anne Golden, Elizabeth Lanza, Ingeborg Kongslien and Beate Taranrød from ILN also participated in the field work.

The trip ended in Madison, Wisconsin with a workshop entitled "Workshop on Immigrant Language in America". The program included both American and Norwegian researchers. Read the program.
