The project  "Linguistic Capacity Building - Tools for the inclusive development of Ethiopia" has received funding from Norad through NORHED. The project will run for five years and is a collaboration between the University of Oslo, Addis Ababa University and Hawassa University.

Janne Bondi Johannessen is the leader of the Norwegian group. Other participants from the University of Oslo are: Lutz Edzard (IKOS), Lilja Øvrelid (IFI), Ruth Vatvedt Fjeld,  Elizabeth Lanza, Unn Røyneland, Jan Svennevig, Kjell Magne Yri, Kristin Hagen, Anders Nøklestad and Joel Priestley  (ILN).
