The conference aims to promote interaction and collaboration among researchers interested in non-derivational approaches to grammar, where grammar is seen as the interaction of (perhaps violable) constraints from multiple levels of structuring, including those of syntactic categories, grammatical relations, semantics and discourse.
LFG20 welcomes work within the formal architecture of Lexical-Functional Grammar as well as typological, formal, and computational work within the 'spirit of LFG' as a lexicalist approach to language employing a parallel, constraint-based framework.
In addition to the main event, there will be a call for proposals for a workshop to be held on June 26. A pre-conference excursion will be hosted on June 22.
Professor Helge Dyvik, University of Bergen, Norway

Oslo and linguistics in June 2020:
The Norwegian capital is at its most beautiful in mid June, when the days are warm and long and the nights are light and short. The University of Oslo is even more exciting than usual in June 2020 with three international linguistics conferences. It starts with the 12th international conference of Nordic and General Linguistics (NGL), which is followed by two annual conferences: the 12th International Austronesian and Papuan Languages and Linguistics Conference (APLL12), which is again followed by the present 25th International Lexical-Functional Grammar Conference (LFG20). Welcome to Oslo!
