Workshop 2: Object and Methods
Picture: Merja Polvinen
What do we do when we engage in the cognitive study of literature? Some cognitive literary scholars rely on empirical approaches that measure, qualitatively and quantitatively, the responses of real readers. Others, however, use cognitive research to conceptualise literature and the reading process. This workshop will engage in a discussion around the objects and methods of inquiry that cross the divide between the sciences and humanities.
