Centre for Research on Media Innovations (CRMI) is hosted by the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Oslo. It was initiated in 2010 as a priority research area in the same department and was formed as a centre in 2012.
Centre for Research on Media Innovations explores how changing technologies, and changing modes of usage and engagement with media bring about media innovation and transformation of the media sector.
We emphasise particularly the following areas of change:
New media services.
New players in the media landscape.
New roles of users.
New practices by existing media organizations.
