"Screen Cultures at Media Aesthetics" (3)
Media Aesthetics invites Screen Cultures to a joint workshop focusing on Screen Cultures.
On the program:
Pasi Väliaho presents the introduction to his book project The Form of Projection: Providence, Speculation, and Optical Media circa 1700.
"The Form of Projection" explores how the optical media of camera obscuras and magic lanterns lent their shape to turn-of-the-seventeenth-and-eighteenth-century thought, becoming symbolic of a series of intellectual transitions, most notably, from a pre-established divine harmony to a complex world of contingent events open to opportunities and risks.
Hans Kristian Rustad presents work in progress.
"Screen Cultures at Media Aesthetics" (4)
Kim Wilkins presents work in progress titled "From the Berlin project".
