International film and media studies conference organized by the Sapientia University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), within the framework of the research project supported by the UEFISCDI, 25-26 October, 2019. Deadline for proposals: July 15, 2019.
This conference aims to explore the connections and relationships between literature and the screen, from the pre-cinematic age to the era of television and new digital technologies.

NECSUS is an international, double blind peer-reviewed journal of media studies connected to NECS (European Network for Cinema and Media Studies) and published by Amsterdam University Press. The journal is multidisciplinary and strives to bring together the best work in the field of media studies across the humanities and social sciences. We aim to publish research that matters and that improves the understanding of media and culture inside and outside the academic community.

The double-blind peer-reviewed Yearbook of Moving Image Studies (YoMIS) is now accepting abstracts from scientists, scholars, artists, film makers, game designers or developers for the fourth issue entitled »Image Evolution. Technological Transformations of Visual Media Culture«. YoMIS will be enriched by disciplines like media and film studies, image science, (film)philosophy, phenomenology, semiotics, design and fine arts, art and media history, game studies and other research areas related to static, moving and digital images in general.
