About the project

The core of the project is a representative, comparable study carried out in 25 countries, based on interviews with 25 000 children between nine and 16 years, as well as with one of their parents.

Besides explaining the differences, EU Kids Online gives recommendations to authorities and other field players concerned about safe Internet use as far as children and youth are concerned.

In the present stage of the project, the study will be repeated and expanded to include in total 33 European countries.

The project is a part of a project called Global Kids Online which looks at the same research questions on a global scale.
