Welcome to the Infinite Image lecture series of the Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas. All talks are open to everybody.

The usual Media Aesthetics workshop will be expanded into a half-day seminar. The occasion is that we will be having two guest speakers: Our guest-PhD candidate Maja Bak Herrie from Aarhus University, and our new professor for Media Aesthetics Aud Sissel Hoel from NTNU.

Honorary guest and speaker: Holberg Prize Winner and Professor Julia Kristeva, Université Paris Diderot. Key note speakers:  Professor Marie Rose Moro, Université Paris Descartes, Professor Brian Hurwitz, King's College London and Professor Trish Greenhalgh, University of Oxford.

Roundtable discussion chaired by Brandy Schillace, Editor-in-chief of BMJ’s Medical Humanities Journal (London). Commentary to Julia Kristeva's lecture by Prof. Rosemarie Garland-Thomson (Emory University).

WUXIA tidsskrift for filmkultur inviterer, i samarbeid med Kunstnernes Hus Kino, til slippfest for nyeste nummer med fokus på poesi, kyborger og estetikk i iransk film. Temaredaktører for dette nummeret er filmregissør Kaveh Tehrani og kunsthistoriker og medieviter Sara R. Yazdani. Kveldens program vil bestå av en visning av den iranske poeten Forough Farrokhzads eneste film THE HOUSE IS BLACK (Khaneh syah ast, 1962), og en diktopplesning ved Mazdak Shafieian. Arrangementet er gratis.
