Services and tools

Documentation and dissemination of information are key aspects of the Ibsen Centre’s mission. The centre hosts a wide range of digital resources on Ibsen’s life and works, as well as a physical collection which we constantly expand and update with new resources.

The Virtual Ibsen Centre

The Centre for Ibsen Studies has developed a wide range of digital research tools which are constantly updated. Through The Virtual Ibsen Centre you have access to:

  • Henrik Ibsen's Writings - all of his plays, manuscripts, correspondence and more (in Norwegian only).
  • The Ibsen Archive, where you can find a large image collection from stage productions, photographs of Ibsen and his art, a collection of reviews, and much more.
  • IbsenStage, a event-based relational database with data from more than 25,000 stage productions.
  • The Multilingual Ibsen, translations of Ibsen's plays into several languages.
