Dalby Landmark has her master’s degree from University of Oslo in Scandinavian Studies, and PhD from Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. In her PhD, she has examined how patients are involved in treatment decision making, based on analyses of videotaped hospital encounters. One part of the study investigates decision making where at least one of the participants are non-native Norwegian speakers.

As a postdoctoral fellow on MultiLing Dementia, Dalby Landmark will study what challenges that occur in everyday conversations between multilingual speakers with dementia and their relatives and caregivers, as well as what strategies speakers use for overcoming these challenges.
