About the project

In this project we investigate how learners of Norwegian as a second language produce texts as part of a test. We study the extent to which the texts are characterized by the test takers’ language background (transfer) in terms of linguistic structures, vocabulary and identity negociation. One question we ask is whether the test candidates' different ways of writing and presenting themselves can have an impact on how their language skills are assessed.
