Hvordan og hvorfor beveger vi oss til musikk? Prosjektet vil undersøke hvordan musikk påvirker det vi kan kalle mikrobevegelser, slik som de ørsmå bevegelsene vi ser når vi står stille.

Om prosjektet

Hvordan og hvorfor beveger vi oss til musikk? Dette har vært et viktig spørsmål i musikkvitenskapen og musikkpsykologien de siste årene. Mesteparten av forskningen har så langt fokusert på relativt store kroppsbevegelser, slik som dansing. Dette prosjektet vil undersøke hvordan musikk påvirker det vi kan kalle mikrobevegelser, slik som de ørsmå bevegelsene vi ser når vi står stille. Selv om slike mikrobevegelser knapt er synlige, kan de observeres i en bevegelseslab. Dette gjør det mulig å gjennomføre studier for å se på effekten av musikk på mikrobevegelser. 

NRK Dagsrevyen hadde innslag om MICRO-prosjektet i juli 2020:

Prosjektet vil lede til: 

  • kunnskap om hvordan musikk påvirker menneskelig bevegelse på et mikronivå
  • en stor, åpen database med opptak av mikrobevegelser
  • programvare for å teste ut bruk av mikrobevegelser i interaktive musikksystemer

Prosjektet bygger på den nyeste forskningen i musikkvitenskap, psykologi og nevrovitenskap. Mesteparten av forskningen foregikk i bevegelseslab'en ved Institutt for musikkvitenskap.

Åpen forskning

MICRO forsøker å være et flaggskipsprosjekt for åpen forskning. Målet er å gjøre så mye som mulig åpent tilgjengelig, men så lukket som nødvendig. Dette inkluderer åpen deling av publikasjoner, data, kildekode, søknaden, og andre deler av forskningsprosessen.
