As part of a lecture series exploring the range of options of empirical approaches to literature, Olivia Da Costa Fialho of LCE presented her current research at ACCELS. In her talk, she discussed how literature can change our insights into ourselves as well as others. To understand this process, which Fialho calls Transformative Reading (TR), she presented empirical studies which articulate the nature and structure of TR.
