These concepts are developed in different disciplines and offer interesting modes of conceptualizing literary universes. Stefka will open the reading group by accounting for how these two concepts are used in medieval/ Old Norse studies, but the aim of the session is to discuss these concepts in juxtaposition to each other, and in relation to various literary fields.
